What are the Bank PO Examinations?
A Bank PO or a Bank Probationary Officer is :
- Assistant Manager of Scale I in a bank.
- Junior Manager of Grade I scale (Scale I Officer).
After the selection criteria, a PO has to go through an intensive training program at the Institute of Banking Management.
The probation period of a PO may last for 2 years. This again differs from bank to bank.
A PO is in charge of:
- properly handling customer complaints, addressing various customer related issues such as discrepancies in accounts,
- the rectifying of undue charges, etc.
- making sure that the business of the bank keeps increasing
